July25 - C2AGE 2010 (Comics, Cosplay, Anime, Games Exhibition)

Been looking forward to this event for sometime. Did a few research on what sort of costume I wanted to go as plus I wanted to be a blond :p
I knew I wanted to be a blond so I went on Fiesta Forum   to order my wig. Took nearly a month for it to arrive, but that gave me enough time to come up with my costume.
It has finally arrived but wasn't exactly what I was looking for
I made a wig stand from learning it on youtube

Wahhh!!! I look damn ying!!!

Bought my anime blue contacts from Vivi Fashion

Lashes with contacts....ON!!!

hahha..this is short cut for my carry case arrow
No way I'm really gonna put the whole stick into the case

Use a big piece of hardboard paper, rolled it up, add a base
then use a cheapo brown cloth to wrap it up...of course not forgetting the strap to carry it

My biggest creation plus longest time
The blue sides to connect to the center white
then add the sleeves onto the body
Next is adding the neck portion. This took sometime coz I was doing the basic way
Externally using the collar-type-material to make the surrounding frame
Add all those together, I because Princess Natalia from Tales of Abyss
Was at Tropicana from 11am-2pm
Had my lunch at Shihlin Mee Sua

The exhibition took out their center court
Animes, Games, Arts etc

Let's not forget Figurines
A mother pushed these twins to me to take a pic....

July17 - Bon Odori 2010

If you've been following, I have not blogged for nearly 2 months. Dunno why? Maybe writers block. So now I'm back tracking the stuff that I did for the past few months.

Bon Odori 2010

I remembered last year I bought a yukata from ebay.au which turn out to be too big for me & the fabric kinda faded. After much research online, I decided to sew one on my own. Seems quite easy.

Went by Kamdar in KL to pick out my material coz there have more varieties there. Picked a blue with pink flowers on it. Cheap cheap... the fabric above is actually for KS (male version). Also blue but black strips instead. He's fabric actually more expensive than mine.

I drew out the layout onto my notebook and measured my body size to make sure I cut the fabric correctly. If too small, I'm in deep sh*t, if too big, still can alter.

Tadah!!! Easy peasy. I even added lining inside coz I purposely picked a softer fabric as I know Bon Odori is gonna be hot hot hot. But the lining would make sure I don't "expose" myself too much.

I remembered the last time I made an Obi, I picked the wrong type of material plus my bow looked really big. This time, I didn't change the basic much. Only the material & size. Though it still looks a little fake compared to a tied obi, but I applaud myself on my butterfly obi.

We arrive at the Matsushita Shah Alam stadium quite late. Especially with the lack of parking & loads of traffic jams coming from all directions.

Thousands of people

First place we went was the food. Though expensive, I have no idea why we still spend so much money here. Smart enuff to plan on a place to meet after buying your food coz there's no way we can find each other in the crowd.

Like usual, it was a hot hot day. Wore my blue contacts (without prescription) so I was partially blind. All in the name of vanity. Thankfully I'm only at the 100 range. Just don't ask me to read anything 5ft away.

Let the dance begin!!!

Drums performance

Bidding thankful & farewell

Dunno where's the toilet? Don' worry, Doraemon knows the way

My 2 creations. Ladies & men's yukata. Made KS a short version coz I know there's no way he'll wear a long one in our weather. The belt was easy. Just sew a few more lines to make it more stylish with extra seams.

My contrasting Obi.
Maybe I should have made the belt a different colour & the bow another colour.
Then it'll definately standout.

It this too big?
Bought a pair of devil's horns
Cool leh!  Devil's horns being sold at a Worshipping of the Dead event

DiGi iPhone 4 Play

Do you want to play with me?

So how can I say what apps I like.

The stuffs Apple has to offer (does not limit down to just worms)

This is the hardest entry for me to blog coz I don't have an iPhone to play with.

So I went surfing around Apple-iPhone Application website

The endless choices!!!

If I had a phone, I would install all of them.

As a sports person, I've always been keen on sporty application.
So that was the first place where I click on.

I was attracted by 2 workout applications
iMapMyRide & NikeWomen Training Club

1) Built-in GPS technology
- I often go on long rides during the weekends and more often than none, I tend to get lost on where I'm heading to. So if I get lost again, I'm coming for you Apple!!

2) Real-time tracking that measures and displays time, distance, pace, speed and elevation
- U wouldn't believe how difficult it is to judge how much workout status in just a ride. Should I go on flat or hilly rides? How fast am I going and for how long?

And the best thing is, I can still tweet when I'm on the go.

1) Access your personalized training program to get stronger on the go
- I want to get stronger, I want to beat my competitors, I want to win.....something!!! anything!!!

2) customize your workout, and invite your friends for a little healthy competition
- Why do we race? To proof our capability, to kick-a**. Of course to have fun!!!

3) use the latest dynamic training drills to focus on the five fundamental areas of athleticism – cardio, core, strength, balance and flexibility
- So what is my strength & weakness? I'm great at body balance, but my core muscles is soft like squid.

So Apple/Nike, I think you are the one for me

Plus I think you are as Cute as a button

Play me a song from your

iTunes and Let's Break That Sweat!!!

.
.
.

WAIT!!!

There's one more application that I should mention.
When I get my well-deserve iPhone4, I'm gonna install......Lonely Planet

Why? Because I've got trips like Seoul, Hong Kong, Australia and Taipei in my calendar.
The pleasure of traveling is just at the tip of my fingers. Just click & enjoy!!

Let's not forget my yellow man!!!
