Apr17 - Tongue in Chic (Rexona Shower Fresh)

I remember how Tongue in Chic started off in me...Keat Seong. He knows how muchhhh i love contests & fashion. So one day he saw a banner flea market organised by TIC. And from there on, it got me hooked. Not the fashion, but what it can offer me.

So one day, I saw in TIC's website that Rexona was organising a ChicPop Shower Fresh by Rexona contest, by sending in your "freshest" picture. The best I could come up with was my Aviva finishing picture with the caption "After 6hrs 45mins, with Rexona, I can be as fresh as I can be". Or something like tat.

Then one day, I got an email that I was a finalist & was invited to their Rexona Shower Fresh get-together at Chi Fitness, along with 2 girlfriends. That morning, I was with Hsing Ling & Julie for a photoshoot at Bukit Cahaya, so I invited them along for a girl's day out.

Chi Fitness's new branch was located at PJ Trade Centre, Damansara Perdana. It's a new building which the concept of untiled cement as floors, metal grilled as stairs & unpainted bricks as walls. To my opinion, it was fresh. We were given goodie bags with merchandise from Sunsilk, Rexona etc. Pretty good start.

In the invite, we were told to bring towels, extra change of clothing, face wash & a lock. We explored the place abit. The Locker room was huge with 2 red cloth changing area, a row of showers, a sauna, bathroom etc.

This is the basin. Kewl concept. Which is hot & cold? Well, the hot tapes are wrapped around with thin ropes to keep those ichy fingers from touching it. Same goes with the shower, which is not the conventional indoor/inside building gym. It overlooks the garden, where glasses are tinted, of course. Totally Chii athmosphere. Oh, shower heads are the rainforest type, which we usually see at 5stars hotels.

The itinerary for today was to have fun. Ground floor was the spinning room (cycling) & locker room. Check!

Level 1 : Sweat It out. This was where the gym equipment was located. The dumbbells and etc. Don't quite know how to name each of them. Pretty small area though.

This was also the floor where we learnt pole dancing by VivaVertical (http://vivavertical.com/). I had previously went for a few pole dancing trials but never actually learnt it properly. So I'm pretty much ok with the basic. Plus it does help with a dancing background (like from age 5 - 15) I'm ohhh so rusted now.

One of the dance routing was to bend back. I thought I was low enuff, but guess not.

Side splits were my worst coz I had never actually mastered a properly straight side split. Give me the left leg anytime.

Anyway, I left the class with a good experience & sore arms and thighs.

Level 2 : Freshen up was there the makeup & styling session were.

Relaxing over the pool with non-stop snacks & drinks.
Thankfully the weather was pleasant.

At the same time, I went about playing with my camera.

Also on Level 3, we found a treasure corner. Do-It-Yourself eg. face scrub, face mask and bath salts. All using the stuff you can easily find at supermarkets.

Self styling by LahLahLand was nice. These stylist had all sorts of clothing & accessories where they would recommend what would look "unique" to u. Well, they do have their own quirky style.

This is a good example. They placed Julie in white polka dot pants. I cannot image wearing this out in public.

Well, after we collected self-made items, we showered up & went for makeup. Looonnng queue.

dunno why I look so old. I did ask for smokey eyes, but a little too much on the eyeliner.

Apr17 - Photoshooting at Bukit Cahaya

Another trip out with my collegemate, Ban Eu, one of his interest is photography. So I decided to invite a few girls out for a Ladies Cyclist photoshoot. Only 2 ladies (including myself) volunteered. Ok lah...this should be fun. He brought his friend, Jonathan, another avid photographer.

We brought our "changgih" bikes, ready to show off until we were hailed & denied entry. I mean, our bikes were denied entry. Seems like no outside bikes were permitted in the park as they are afraid that due to the terrain/roads of the park, it might spoil our bikes. *sniff sniff*

So we rented the park's mountain bikes. I didn't bring any sport shoes so slipper would have to do. It was a pretty laid back photoshoot. We cycled from point to point. Even some parts which I had never visited before. I usually just head to Skytrex Park.

So many treasure hunt parties around from schools, unis & companies. But it was nice to be surrounded by trees once in a while.

camwhoring with a reason

Out of the blue, I got a call from my product manager. Habiss....kerja!!!

It was a pretty good weather day. The park was reasonably hilly for a small workout. Thankfully we don't need to really pose for too long. Just our casual walk, cycle, chat about everything under the sun & moon. From cycle, sports, gossips etc.

After about 3-4hrs, we were hungry. So we went by the park's mamak for brunch. Everyone started tweeting & facebooking about with their Iphones, much to my dismay.

Anyhow, below are a few of the end result photos from Ban Eu.

Apr11 - A weekend away...in KL

Time for a break after big races such as Ironman Langkawi (Feb) & Aviva (Mar) until the next biggies like Singapore Sundown (May) & KL Marathon (June).

Then I remembered that I still have a voucher for a night stay at Berjaya Times Square hotel in KL.

Well, the last time KS & I stayed at JW Marriott Hotel KL was great as well, except we didn't get breakfast, but it was ok I guess coz we had the NB 30km the next day. So we wouldn't have been able to get back in time to use it anyway.

Deluxe Room on Club Floor

left side, entrance to toilet,
right side, entrance to bathroom.
separated by a door

Welcome platter of fruits, biscuits & chocolates

guess who i bumped into at BTS?
Daniel, part-time job ah? :p

Berjaya Times Square shopping mall was a shopping paradise for imported Korean/Japan/China clothing. Big Banners like "ALL for RM25" is really attractive. I mainly target the RM10 instead :p But this time, it's the gladiator shoes. It's a new trend now. Went into a few shops, comparing prices & sizes till I picked the right one. Somehow KS might recommend one, but i'll pick the other. Opposite attract I guess.

samsung corby collection..yummy

While I was at Sungai Wang, I came across a mobile phone stall that had a very nice sliding phone going for just RM499. It had the latest Qwerty keypad. I've always round it kind in style to type my sms like a notepad. But since it was a spur of a moment, I decided to walk away.

The next day, I wanted to check out external dvd-rom at Low Yat Plaza coz mine already "hampus". Once again i came across THAT phone. This time going for RM480. My will is strong. I walked away. Then we came across Kingston Technology (Oh, KS also looking for cheap phone), THAT phone was going for RM450. That was all I could take. The barrier has fallen.

Goodbye my lovely, Sony Ericson W580i
I've sorry to have dropped you so many times
Especially when you haven't even gotten the chance to celebrate 1year old

Hello Samsung GT-B3310
Only 2 colours as it was only 1week only
Aqua and grey

I've been really high on the korean band, Big Bang. I noticed that they were advertising the LG phone Lollipop.
It comes in blue, pink & grey. It's a flip phone where when then phone rings, the cover lights up ANDDD u can set the graphic display for each caller. So when someone eg. Bob calls, then the word BOB appears on the cover. well, it doesn't have to be Bob, it's up to u wat u wanna set. Wayyy cool!!

But when I had the phone in my hand, it wasn't anything fancy. It's a pretty basic phone, long-ish and pretty. That's it. Oh well, pretty boys for pretty phone?? I still love them!! *drool*

oh, and I weigh 45.3kg that weekend...muhaahah..
